Vegetarian Superfood Recipes : Buddha bowl with Chia seeds
The Buddha bowl is a trend from the United States that is all the rage on social networks.
How does it work?
You prepare in a bowl or a small salad bowl a complete meal of vegetable origin only.
To compose your Buddha Bowl you need :
- Raw vegetables: cucumber, grated carrots, beets, spinach shoots or avocado will be perfect and will form the basis of your Buddha Bowl. Choose seasonal vegetables.
- Cooked vegetables: mushroom, zucchini, or other vegetables, steamed with a light drizzle of olive oil and spices to your taste
- Cereals: wheat semolina, bulgur, rice, quinoa. Vary the pleasures
- Legumes: chickpeas, split peas, lentils or tofu for example
- Oil seeds: this is where we find our famous chia seed
